Parasource is a Johannesburg-headquartered protection firm operating across the African theatre. Built by operators, for principals who refuse to be statistics.
Parasource was founded in Johannesburg by operators with first-hand experience of challenging environments — military, intelligence, close protection and aviation. The premise was simple: most security is reactive, most reports are unreadable, and most providers compromise discretion for visibility.
We do the opposite. Our deployments are quiet, our reports are useful, and our operators behave like the principals they serve. We integrate security, logistics, aviation, K9 and systems into solutions that are customised, discreet and accountable.
The name comes from the Latin para — to prepare. Everything we do begins there.
Every deployment starts with a confidential intake, a written risk picture, and a rehearsed contingency. The cost of preparation is hours. The cost of improvisation is everything.
Officers, vehicles, K9 and back-up are positioned ahead of every movement. Reaction is what happens when positioning failed.
We measure ourselves by what didn’t happen — by the principal who got back to their family, the cargo that reached the vault, the day that looked ordinary.
Our officers come from military, law enforcement and intelligence backgrounds. They are PSIRA-registered, continuously requalified, and selected for judgement — not appearance.
All operators hold current PSIRA registration in the appropriate grade and undergo scenario-based requalification.
Our teams understand the South African and African operational environment — supported by international tradecraft and methodologies.
Every officer signs an NDA. Our client list is never published. References provided privately on request.
